2019 marks an important anniversary of the National Capital Commission (NCC). Carleton’s Centre for Public History (CCPH) was tasked with an important element of the anniversary celebrations: telling little known stories about the NCC’s custodianship of one of our city’s key streets: Sussex Drive. Building on the experience of Capital History Kiosks, stories were told through vinyl wraps around traffic control boxes at eleven locations along Sussex Drive with further information being available online at CapitalHistory.ca.
